With Covid-19 around the world and the problems of poverty and poor class of
living for millions of people, the Rotaract Club of UPG College had organized an
event which was one of its kind.
The Portraits of Humanity celebrated the humanitarian week in the form of
sharing the acts of humanity through visuals.
In their edition of Portraits of Humanity, the team RCUPG called for entries in
the acts of humanity through snaps or Portraits. The response received by the
team UPG was impeccable and snapshots from divergent acts from multiple
people surfaced RCUPG’s social media pages.
From Animal Safety Initiatives to taking care of the old in old age homes, we
witnessed multiple acts of humanities through the visuals.
These also gave us a clear understanding that together we all can do better
and make things right for someone less fortunate! The Portraits of Humanity
however like an initiative under the umbrella ‘Hope’ by RCUPG performed
great on the lines of public engagement and gave us a leap of faith that this
too shall pass.
“Making even one-person smile can change the world, maybe not the whole
world but their world.” – RCUPG
Although the success of this event can be measured in terms of the response it
got from the audience, but the part where it has created a whole array of
people wanting to do something for someone less fortunate around leaves a
great mark among all of us.
The whole event was extremely successful and was welcomed with warmth
among the people of the college.
