Ink to LinkedIn: UPG DLLE's Workshop

What sounds like a perfect job profile? It should be professional, concise, relevant, and filled with achievements. Having a profile that ticks all these boxes is a student's dream, but how to make that our reality? Let us learn how, through the course of this article.

To give people an insight of the LinkedIn world and a platform to voice all their reservations about a perfect job profile, UPG’s DLLE organized ‘INK TO LINKEDIN.’ It took place on the 23rd of October, at 5 pm and was conducted on the Microsoft Teams platform. It was headed by the guest speaker Mr. Ankit Tiwari, who is the CEO of Syncopy business and the author of the trilogy EDGE OF LINK. The event was moderated by UPG’s very own diligent students, Ms. Mansi Furiya and Ms. Dikshita.

The workshop aimed at creating awareness among the students regarding the importance of creating a LinkedIn account and the benefits of having an appealing profile on the platform. The workshop flowed with various discussions on important and beneficial topics. The participants were acknowledged about how a human resource department of a firm finds candidates for a job opportunity on LinkedIn. By being a part of the workshop, the participants gained an important and beneficial perspective on the prompt terms to be included in their LinkedIn profile, including the knowledge of a correct skillset one should mention to be considered as the perfect candidate for the job. Emphasis was laid on the importance of having a job profile on various platforms all over the internet, which is a convenient medium for employers to find potential employees. The participants were enlightened about the ways in which they could widen the horizons of opportunities available to them with the help of an appealing and professional LinkedIn profile.

In a world where job opportunities are a chanced occurrence of luck, this workshop gave the participants an insight on how to make that chanced occurrence a destined reality!
