Itni si Hasi - RC

This lockdown has created a great deal of emotional turmoil which is not being

addressed enough. The Rotract Club of Usha Pravin Gandhi College shed light

on this issue and organized an interactive session “Itni Si Hasi” focusing on happiness and mental peace. The guest speaker was Ms. Sukriti Kohli, the founder of “Doc of Happiness”.

She illustrates to encourage people as she

believes art has a lot of power.

She is also a visiting faculty and one of the most admired and approachable teachers of UPG college.

“We are dealing with two pandemics, Covid-19 and mental health issues”-

Sukriti Kohli. Through this session, she wanted people to understand that it’s

okay to not be okay. The speaker was open to questions. The questions asked

ranged from how to work under stress, to ways of dealing with unrequited love

and how to create a happy environment around family. She answered all of

them very patiently. She spoke about how some of us have been conditioned

in a particular way and how do we ease our way out of it. She emphasized on

the lesser known fact that happiness lies within yourself, being your favourite

person.

She also believed that the day you start prioritizing yourself is the day you will

begin your journey towards happiness. Her perspective towards life is

inspiring. She ended the session by recommending the audience to maintain two

separate diaries; one for scheduling your daily tasks reasonably and the other

to pen down all your feelings no matter how unreasonable or “weird” you

consider them to be. It was an insightful and inspiring session where ma’am was successful at teaching everyone her life motto of “living in the moment.”
