Independence Day is a special occasion for every Indian. This Independence
Day was a unique one, with each and every one of us feeling our patriotism
through computer screens. The Rotaract Club of Usha Pravin Gandhi College
held a special Independence Day event, hosted by Chairwoman of HRD Priyal
Shah and President Hetal Ghatad.
Priyal Shah welcomed one and all, giving the audience some information about
5 brave hearts who were responsible for making us a free country today.
They engaged with the audience and played some thought-provoking songs
about Independence, which welled up emotions in some members of the
audience.
The Chief Guests of the event include Lakshmi Soni, a classical singer and
Samapti Patel, The Immediate Past President of Rotary Club of Bombay West.
Foram Shah and Devika Rathi performed a beautiful dance piece that was
enjoyed by all. With a few gracious words from the respected Chief Guests, the
event came to a close.
